How to move from one-time sales to repeat sales?
Your online store generates many sales... UNIQUE...
How to get them back?
You do everything right when you have a customer in your store:
🛒 you guide them (navigable / user friendly ecommerce),
🛒 you recommend (“you may also be interested in”),
🛒 You do your best to convert it (coupons, discounts).
Finally buys! ... but never comes back . Has this happened to you?
We get clients with this situation, the entire pre- purchase and purchase process works perfectly, but they can't get them to come back.
1️⃣ Having purchased means that you already have it in your database: you know that you can contact them by email, SMS, social networks...
2️⃣ You know what they have bought and the reasons why they have chosen it. So you already know to a certain extent their tastes or intentions when it comes to buying: You have segmented them.
3️⃣ If you have practiced active listening during the purchase, you will have in mind what you can offer next time.
But not everything is so easy... in the world of online sales there are many factors that do not occur due to not having direct contact...
However:
✔️ You have their data
✔️ You know how many and which products you viewed before purchasing
✔️ You get an idea of their tastes.
Use what you've learned from the buyer's journey:
✅ Knowing the approximate delivery date of the purchase, you can calculate and send an email with a satisfaction survey, either about the purchase process or the product itself.
✅ Take advantage of the moment of delivery of the purchase to add a plus, let's suppose that they have bought a swimsuit, give them a small waxed cloth bag -with your brand- to store their swimsuit without letting moisture through (they will surely reuse it, keeping you in their top of mind).
✅ Without leaving behind your brand #/@ so that you can be mentioned on social media and take advantage of that UGC! (user generated content)
✅ You know that your product (swimsuit) may have a recurring purchase, and that shortly before summer it would be optimal to send a newsletter with your new 20XX collection with a call to action for them to visit and buy on your website.
They may not be back next week, but if you are patient, keep your customer engaged and well informed, you will surely generate long-term sales, while leveraging performance campaigns for immediate sales.
⚠️ Take advantage of the slow commercial periods when the #CPC is much cheaper, make the most of the moment to create a client who will repeat business on #BlackFriday or #Christmas when the CPC is much more expensive!!
