Digital Kit: the new Spanish programme for SMEs (NextGenEU)
The call for applications for Kit Digital, the benefits programme for Spanish SMEs that are working on their digitalisation process, is now open.
Digital Kit is the name of the benefit program for SMEs and self-employed workers through which the Spanish government will invest more than 3 billion euros for the digitalization of small and medium-sized companies between 2022 and 2023. This ambitious program (with the largest amount to date) is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and has the European Next Generation EU funds.

Digitizing Agents: Who can apply?
To access these benefits, it is necessary to complete the admission form on the page https://sede.red.gob.es/ . Among the requirements to join as a supplier or Digitalizing Agent we can highlight:
- Have a company with between 10 and 49 employees.
- Have tax domicile in Spain.
- Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the development of their activity.
- Having achieved a turnover of €100,000 in one of the last two closed financial years prior to the application.
- Be up to date with tax and Social Security obligations.
- Not being considered a company in crisis.
- Have the status of a company, according to the definition set out in Annex I of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014.
Digitalization bonuses
The interesting thing about this grant is that it does not set a maximum amount for aid. The Digital Kit program seeks to promote the implementation of digital transformation projects, so that the amounts allocated to each project will depend on the level of digital maturity of the companies, as well as the price of the digital solutions that they want to implement.
3 steps to access the benefit
Applications for aid can be made in a simple and easy manner.
The first step is to take a “self-diagnosis test”, which can be accessed from the Acelera Pyme website. Depending on the results of the test, the platform will offer each company a different range of solutions.
The second step is to consult the catalogue of solutions offered by the Acelera Pyme marketplace. There, each company will be able to choose one or more of them, depending on the objectives set. Once selected, they will be able to request their corresponding digitalisation voucher. To this end, access to the Red.es electronic headquarters will be enabled on the Acelera Pyme platform.
Finally, once you have your voucher, you can redeem it for the desired solutions, within the options offered by Acelera Pyme.
In short, from the Acelera Pyme portal you will be able to access all the information necessary to request these grants for the digital transformation of SMEs and self-employed workers.
